What would the Game of Thrones cast look like as dogs?

The final season of Game of Thrones will be starting in just a few days! Besides being completely out of our minds with excitement, we’re as always, still thinking of dogs.

We all know the Starks are wolves, the Targaryens are dragons, the Lannisters are lions, and the Baratheons are stags…but here at Wamiz, we’re all about the dogs (and cats)! So as we prepare for the greatness that will be Season 8, we’re also wondering…what if HBO had only hired dogs to portray the GoT characters? What would they all look like? Never asked yourself that question before – fret not! We’ve got you covered.

Here’s what we think an all-dog cast would look like:

Jon Snow the Bernese Mountain Dog

Ned Stark’s bastard son, Jon Snow, is a true northerner, dedicated to protecting his people. What better breed could represent such a kind and loyal leader as Jon Snow than the beautiful Berner? Hard to say which is more handsome…

Jaime Lannister the Golden Retriever

That smile. Those wavy, golden locks. At least on the surface, this good-looking soldier is the spitting image of the Golden.

Arya Stark the Boston Terrier

Arya is definitely a tom-boy with a unique personality – and that’s exactly what you’d expect from a Boston. Despite being small in size and stature, these independent spirits have a big-dog character…just like someone else we know…

Tyrion Lannister the English Bulldog

Tyrion is a true Bully at heart. Once he’s set his mind on something, he won’t let it go. Brave and determined, just like our hero.

It would be impossible to resign Danny to a single breed – she’s a free spirit who can’t be tamed. Like the Mother of Dragons, this dog is intensely beautiful.

Cersei Lannister the Afghan Hound

Dignified, stand-offish, Cersei is just like the Afghan. She can be sociable if she sees an interest in it for her, but is more often indifferent to others.

What do you think? Would you have chosen pairings differently? What about the other characters? We need something to do while we wait impatiently to find out who will sit on the Iron Throne - let us know what you think!
