ROSA is 11 months old smallish-medium puppy girl looking for a patient and loving home with humans experienced in caring for dogs who have had a tough time, feeling a bit worried and need some understanding. Available under foster-to-adopt with trial period.
We believe she is a mix of Border Collie and Spaniel. Based in Ashford, TN26, available for adoption over UK (collection from location or sometimes part way meeting can be agreed). Housetrained, Leash trained, travels good in a car.
Although Rosa can be very nervous and anxious initially, she is incredibly smart and would thrive with engaging activities. With the right environment and understanding, Rosa has the potential to blossom into a wonderful companion.

ROSA is a very timid and unsure girl when it comes to new environments. She is in need of an experienced family who can help build her confidence slowly. ROSA requires a patient approach, allowing her to have her own space initially and giving her the time she needs to come out of her shell and trust. While she currently lives with and is bonded well with a foster son, she is not suitable for a home with children.
ROSA would benefit from having a calm, confident resident dog for reassurance. She loves being around other dogs and feels comfortable and at ease in their company.
ROSA is at Foster and that's what she say about her : " Rosa came to us from another foster and really took 2-3 days to come out of her shell. Since then, she has been growing into such a gorgeous dog. She has had some trauma in her past, which has meant that she can be quite scared of men and sudden movements initially. However she has settled into a wonderful, outgoing, playful and very affectionate dog with some late onset puppy playfulness. She loves being outside, runs faster than my other dogs put together, loves all training (I think she’s super smart) has some herding instincts from her breeding and plays incessantly with my son and the other dogs. She is highly affectionate, adores my youngest son in particular and loves other dogs. She does benefit from being slightly dominated by another dog initially then she falls into line and is lovely. She travels in the car and walks on a lead no issues and has good recall. She is generally great at being toilet trained with the occasional mishap overnight. I think she’d be best with someone who wants to do agility or train working dog or someone who spends a lot of time outside."
ROSA is shy and nervous and for the first few days she’ll need her space, but will quickly come out of her shell (with the help of some boiled chicken). Once she does get comfortable around you, she’ll love nothing more than getting a fuss and groom from you. She loves her toys and will happily play with them by herself. Rosa needs kind and patient humans.
ROSA is very timid and quite at home. Go to the toilet in the garden. She is not pushy with other dogs. She get scared of pushy dogs and loud noises. So best to go to quite home with no young kids and super active dogs.
ROSA has no known health issues. She is vaccinated, microchipped. Not spayed, haven't had season yet. Rescue will pay for her spaying.
