Despite being in a relationship for four years, a 28-year-old man decided to leave his future wife because she endangered the life of his dog during her hen party.
He explained the whole situation on Reddit, setting the record straight: "On Saturday, my fiancée had a bachelorette party at our house. I stayed with my parents but left the dog with her because she likes having him with her. However, I made sure to tell her to put the dog in our bedroom once the party started."
Unfortunately, these precautions were not enough.
It was a close call…
A few hours after the party started, the fiancée called, crying and drunk. Something had happened to the dog, and they were at the vet's.
The man arrived at the veterinarian's office in a panic, and found out that his dog had been food poisoned. Indeed, the dog ate chocolate liqueur during the party. His fiancée didn't think it was a good idea to put him in the bedroom, as planned, and preferred to let the dog wander around the house where he managed to find the chocolate on the table.
Once everyone was back home, the man didn't hesitate for a second and decided to break up: "When we got home, I told my fiancée to pack her bags and get out of my house and my life."
A radical decision that was not understood by those close to the former couple. But the man did not change his mind in the end, finding his former companion too careless in general.
As for the dog, he is doing well.
