Camilla adopted the adorable duo, Beth and Bluebell, from the Battersea Dogs and Cats Home back in 2016. It was quite a turnaround for the little pair of Jack Russells. They went from being dogs nobody wanted to a life of luxury. A proper rags to riches story.
Now one of the UK's most famous homes, Buckingham Palace has become their turf. Fingers crossed they haven't 'marked it' in that special way dogs do! You're royalty now, and one must not engage in such unbecoming acts. So be on your best behaviour, Beth and Bluebell.

The new Royal residents
Pooches wandering the halls and grounds of Buckingham Palace are a familiar sight. Dearly departed Queen Elizabeth II was famous for her love of Corgis and owned around 30 of them during her lifetime.
She was also the proud owner of quite a few Dorgis (Corgi/Dachshund crossbreeds) - perfect examples of what happens when you multiply cute by cute!
Her Majesty stopped breeding dogs a few years ago, telling close family members that she didn't want to leave any of the pooches. She was a true dog person.
Dogs in the royal palace is one tradition that we're happy to see continue. And the new human residents appear to love pups just as much as the Queen did.
Part of the family
Beth and Bluebell appeared in Kings Charles and Camilla's 15th wedding anniversary portrait in 2020.
And Camilla, who will carry the title Queen Consort, spoke about her passion for pooches in the ITV documentary Camilla's Country Life:
"The nice thing about dogs is you can sit them down, you could have a nice long conversation, you could be cross, you could be sad, and they just sit looking at you wagging their tail. They're pure joy and happiness."
Spoken like another true dog person!
