Adopted by Tom Holland's family in 2014, Tessa the Staffordshire Bull Terrier quickly became an integral part of the household.
An incredible bond
Holland's affection for Tessa extended beyond their home life; she often accompanied him to movie sets and even graced the red carpet at premieres.
Despite misconceptions about her breed, Holland passionately defended Tessa's gentle nature, emphasising her sweet demeanour and dispelling stereotypes about Staffordshire Bull Terriers.
A fond farewell and lasting legacy
But sadly, just four days ago, Holland revealed that Tessa had passed away as he shared a heartfelt tribute to her in an Instagram post. His father, Dominic Holland, also expressed their family's profound loss on his blog, sharing the story of Tessa's final days. He also added that the family had planted a tree in their garden, and that they will be scattering her ashes there.
As Tom Holland prepares for his upcoming role in Jamie Lloyd’s Romeo & Juliet, his dedication to honouring Tessa's legacy is a testament to the enduring bond between humans and their faithful companions. RIP, Tessa!
