As she approached the water, she noticed movement and, to her amazement, discovered a pile of hairless puppies desperately needing help.
Abandoned on the shore
The four puppies were extremely shy but clearly in distress. Realising they'd been abandoned, the woman immediately sprung into action. She brought the puppies to Final Victory Animal Rescue, where their story shocked the staff.
The staff discovered that all of the puppies were extremely emaciated and covered in severe mange, which had made the puppies almost bald.
The rescue team nicknamed the puppies "the waters edge puppies" and immediately began treating them. They gave the pups medicated baths and, as they started feeling better, began to warm up to their rescuers.
Hope for puppies' future
The puppies' past remains a mystery. Named kayak, canoe, paddle board, and raft, rescue staff are certain the puppies would not have survived without the kayaker's quick action.
Board and Raft already have adopters waiting for them once they are fully healed, while Kayak and Canoe are still seeking their forever homes.
Let's hope the puppies get to keep their great names!
