Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have shared the first public glimpse of their rescue dog, Mia, in their 2024 Christmas card.

The card features several heartwarming photos, including one with the Sussexes' children, Archie and Lilibet, alongside their three dogs: Pula, Guy, and Mia.

Mia, a nine-year-old Beagle, was adopted by the couple in 2022 from the Beagle Freedom Project after she was rescued from a U.S. animal testing facility.

The pup had been one of 4,000 dogs bred for pharmaceutical research, and Meghan specifically chose her as part of her commitment to animal welfare.

The card also includes joyful images of Archie and Lilibet, with Lilibet running into her father's arms and Archie beelining for Meghan.

The Sussexes' black Labrador, Pula, and rescue Beagle Guy are also featured in the festive snapshots.

Wish to rescue older pup

Mia's adoption was a significant moment for the couple, with Meghan personally requesting an older dog. The couple, who live in Montecito, California, alongside several other rescue animals, have been vocal about their commitment to animal rights.

The card, which also highlights the Sussexes' 2024 travels, was shared by royal reporter Omid Scobie, who captioned it: "The Sussexes share highlights of their year."
