On 9th September, the animal rescue Urgence Maltraitance Animale, based in Loire-Atlantique, France, posted an urgent appeal for help to its community.

Poor Toto desperately needs help.

Toto is a lovely 17-year-old crossbreed Labrador and Cane Corso.

Left to fend for himself

Toto's former owner passed away two years ago. When he died, there was no one to take the dog in. The poor lad has been living outside the house in a garden, where someone comes to feed him every day.

This dreadful situation has been going on for two years now, and Toto's case was reported to the rescue Urgence Maltraitance Animale to get him the help he needs.

In need of care

Toto needs a home and medical care. Whilst his vaccinations are up to date, he suffers from a heart murmur and has a lump on one side and an inoperable tumour on his anus.

The rescuers are currently looking for a family who would be willing to take the dog in and give him a gentle life for his remaining years. The veterinary costs will be covered by the rescue. We wish Toto and his future family all the best.
