The Kelpie had puppies a few years ago and has always kept her maternal instinct.
It was this strong maternal instinct that allowed her to save a little life in distress on the farm.
In need of help
On 11th October, Cleo's humans noticed one of their piglets was struggling. They decided to bring the little animal inside, hoping the brave dog would take him under her wing. And that's exactly what happened!
In a video posted on Instagram, we can see Cleo lying in her bed, grooming the little piglet. The little pig is sleeping soundly and lets her do as she pleases, perfectly relaxed beside his adoptive mum. Cleo's humans are relieved because they know that with the dog's tender care, the piglet will always be warm and clean.
A touching moment
In the video's caption, Cleo's owners wrote: "Once a mum, always a mum", celebrating the dog's maternal instinct. The video quickly went viral on Instagram, moving over 548K people.
Some people shared their similar stories: "We have a Miniature Pinscher we recently adopted who has never been a mother, and a 19-year-old Chihuahua who needs a lot of support. Our Miniature Pinscher has adopted her and treats her like a puppy." Another wrote: "That's her baby. Animals are incredible."
