It was time for a delivery driver to say goodbye to two special dogs. For several years, he had worked the same route. This daily journey meant he got to know not only the local residents, but their pets too.
And that's how he became friends with two adorable dogs. Every time he stopped by, they would run out to greet him, hoping for a fuss and, more often than not, a little treat that the driver kept specially for them in his van.
But as all good things must come to an end, the driver recently learned that his route was changing. The thought of never seeing his canine friends again was heartbreaking for him.
A touching farewell
Unwilling to leave without a proper goodbye, the man decided to arrange a special farewell. On his very last round, he stopped by the homes of his 'best friends' to leave a farewell message for their owners, along with a gift.
On the porch of one of the families, he left a bag full of dog treats with a handwritten note:
"I’ve got a new route and today is my last day. It's been a pleasure seeing your dogs all these years. Here are some treats for them."
