The poor puppy was nothing but skin and bones.
On 18 September, he was abandoned by his family, a couple who tied him to a tree at the edge of a field in Les Sorinières near Nantes, France.
Cruel abandonment
The couple then got back into their car and drove away. The poor puppy panicked when he saw his family leaving him all alone. He managed to break free and ran after the car.
As he chased after them, the poor pup nearly got run over. Fortunately, several people witnessed this cruel abandonment. They immediately contacted the animal welfare organisation Urgence Maltraitance Animale 44.
A starving puppy
The rescuers were shocked to discover how emaciated the pup was. They immediately placed him with an experienced foster family to care for him.
When he arrived at his foster home, the puppy was starving and tried to eat and drink anything he could find, including soil and stones... A complaint for animal cruelty has been filed. We hope Moka quickly regains his strength and wish him a life filled with kindness in the future.
