Amal and George Clooney caused quite the stir when they took their newest family member out for a stroll in the village of Contingac, France.

He may still only be a baby, but the recent addition to the Clooney household is already proving to be quite the handful. Literally speaking, of course.

Nelson Clooney

Amal's new bundle of joy is Nelson, an adorable St Bernard puppy who was reportedly gifted to the civil rights lawyer by her husband on her birthday.

Reaching an impressive size of around 80kg once fully grown, the Clooneys are no strangers to this giant breed. Nelson will be joining their female St Bernard Rosie, named after George's late aunt, singer and actress Rosemary.

A warm reception

The adorable puppy received a warm reception from fans around the world.

"Nothing like having lots of dogs in your life! Your heart will be happy all the time", commented one follower, while another responded, "so beautiful".

Now George, Amal and their twins Alexander and Ella have been spending the majority of their time at their estate in France, it's believed that Nelson will join them there.

Domaine du Canadel boasts 425 acres of land, with its own vineyard, olive groves and a tennis court, so this lucky pup will be spoilt for choice when it comes to finding space to run and play!
