Sriracha, the little black kitten, couldn’t be more different from her piglet best friend, Batman.
But without him, her life would be very different.
A very sick little kitten
Indeed, Sriracha suffers from a neurological condition known as Cerebellar Hypoplasia. This means the part of the brain which controls fine motor skills and coordination was not completely mature when she was born.
This causes Sriracha to stumble around and even seize occasionally. But Batman has the innate ability to sense when his buddy is having a bad day, and always comes to his rescue when he’s needed!
Batman to the rescue!
When Sriracha starts to have a seizure, Batman lies down on her, anchoring her down with his body weight – something which helps her stabilise and feel safe. Plus, Batman gives her all the extra TLC she needs when she’s going through her episodes.
And of course, this isn’t a one-way friendship. Sriracha showers her best friend with love every day, to thank him for all his support. According to their rescuer Caitlin Cimini, he “almost knew what he was doing for her”.
Since both of them are orphans, it’s no surprise they take comfort in each other’s company!
Though quite the unlikely pair, it seems like these two adorable babies were meant for each other!
