Her story is a traumatic one.
On the 18th of November, the poor dog was found tied up inside a locked suitcase, which had been abandoned in a skip in Everett, Washington, USA.
A cruel abandonment
The police made the terrible discovery after several calls from neighbours who had heard a dog's muffled cries. Officers immediately took Binny to the Everett Animal Shelter.
The poor dog was in an extremely worrying condition. She was vomiting blood and had scratches all over her body. What's more, her rescuers could clearly see that she had recently given birth.
In safe hands
The rescue team quickly began treatment to help Binny recover. She is now regaining her strength at the shelter. She greets every visitor with lots of love and a gentle wag of her tail, which is a great comfort to her rescuers.
Almost a month after her rescue, the police are still searching for the suspect or suspects and have issued an appeal for information on Facebook. The animal rights organisation PETA has also become involved in Binny's case, offering a $5,000 reward for any information that leads to identifying the person who abandoned her. The organisation is also seeking information about Binny's puppies, who were cruelly separated from their mother.
