French Bulldog collapses after walk: vet's diagnosis leaves owners stunned

It's common for very young puppies to want to taste everything they find in the street.

On 22nd March, one puppy had a very unexpected experience...

Worrying behaviour

Sulley's owners were very worried by their puppy's behaviour when they returned from a walk. The French Bulldog puppy couldn't stay on his feet and was struggling to walk.

In the video below, you can see the puppy literally collapsing onto the living room rug. He has a strange look in his eyes.

His owners didn't hesitate for a second and took him straight to the vet to be examined.

The video's caption reads: ”POV: Your dog is acting weird and just keeps falling over... So you take him to the emergency vet, only to find out...

The caption continues: ”That cigarette he tried to eat on the walk was actually weed and your dog is just high.

The owners also mentioned that they spent $215 to find this out.

Disaster averted

Accidentally ingesting marijuana is more harmful to dogs than it is to humans.

The most common symptoms of cannabis poisoning in a dog are: excessive drooling, dilated pupils, lethargy, sensitivity to loud noises, excitement or agitation, lack of coordination or loss of balance, vomiting, urinary incontinence, low body temperature, low blood pressure, tremors or seizures.

7.4 million people watched the video on TikTok, absolutely stunned.

Most of them were just as worried as Sulley's owners from the very first few seconds:

Oh my God, the fear in the guy in the first clip is so real, when you don't know what's going on it's so scary.

Others shared similar experiences:

My Dachshund started doing this and I was panicking, and it was the same thing for him, except I didn't see him eat anything.

Thankfully, Sulley was unharmed, and it was just a big scare. Phew!
