On the 23rd of September, a woman in the US bought a car at an auction.

This woman was delighted with her new purchase and quickly opened the glove box to put her own things inside.

Inside, she found the usual items: an owner's manual, a tyre warranty, and other leaflets. But tucked away among the documents was something quite unexpected...

An unexpected discovery

To her great surprise, she discovered a sealed envelope. On the front, the name “Henley” was written.

Inside the envelope, she found paper cards with a pooch's paw and nose prints on them!

She knew straight away that the car's previous owner hadn't realised these precious keepsakes were in the glove box.

The dog hair in the boot was enough to confirm her suspicions. She knew she had to find the former owner to return their beloved dog's mementos.

The magic of social media

In the video's caption, the social media user wrote:

“TikTok, do your thing and help me find the owners.”

Viewers immediately began to boost the clip in the hope of finding Henley's owner.

“Thank you for understanding how important these prints are and for trying to reunite Henley with his humans,” one person wrote.

“The nose print… my heart just broke!”

Thanks to the magic of social media, the young woman found the rightful owner! She posted the envelope to them.

The prints are currently on their way from Kentucky to Tennessee and should be reunited with their owner very soon!
