In July 2025, Claire, an Australian Cattle Dog, was saved from certain death in the United States.
As reported by People, the animal was locked in a cage in full sun where the temperature exceeded 109 degrees Fahrenheit.
The Arizona Humane Society's animal cruelty investigation unit was alerted to the dog's situation.
Two months in hospital
Rescuers immediately worked to lower Claire's body temperature before transporting her to a veterinary clinic.
Thanks to treatment, vets were able to stabilise her condition. The poor dog was suffering from burns and open wounds. Antibiotics and painkillers were given to her to provide relief.
After two months in hospital, Claire was transferred to a foster family whilst a permanent home was found for her.
And fortunately, Claire was adopted by a wonderful family and now lives with another dog.
