“Faya, our longest resident, has been adopted after 420 days of living in the shelter! To say our staff and volunteers were overjoyed is an understatement,” the post read.

Described as a "gorgeous and ever so lovely" dog with "the most beautiful soft brown eyes, a striking colorful coat, and the cutest flop-over ears," Faya had been waiting for over a year to find a loving owner.

Her story captured many hearts when the shelter shared a reel about her journey, attracting over 14,000 views.

The announcement was accompanied by a heartwarming photo of Faya and her new owner, both beaming with joy. The shelter expressed their delight, saying, "We’ve given her so much love and care over the many months she was here, and this is the moment we were all waiting for. She finally gets to sleep in a home of her own."
