An adorable Beagle puppy and an adult Rottweiler defy stereotypes and show that size doesn't matter when it comes to friendship.

Who’s afraid of the big scary Rottweiler? Certainly not this Beagle puppy, who seems oblivious to the size difference between them and their playmate.

Beagle pup “attacks” Rottie

While Rottweilers may have a reputation for being big and intimidating dogs, this video dispels all that. Watched by over 4 million people, it shows a one-year-old Rottweiler called Marlow lounging around on the floor with a 9-week-old Beagle puppy called Indie. The duo have just been for a walk and while it looks like Marlow may want to relax after exercising, little Indie has other ideas, seeming to prefer to playfight with its older sibling.

The playful Beagle exudes mischievous charm, gleefully pouncing on its buddy and revelling in the delightful mischief it creates.

Gentle giant

Even as Marlow takes a moment to enjoy its toy, the determined puppy returns with unwavering zeal, refusing to let playtime end.

Viewers can’t resist commenting on the video praising the “big Rottie” for its patience and gentleness despite the antics of the young puppy. One person even admits to loving the video so much they watch it every day, especially the part where the “Rottweiler lets out a little sigh and looks at the Beagle as if to say “Aren't you tired? Give me a break!

But one person was able to sum up everyone’s thoughts on this video:

"This is adorable!! That Rottie looks so vicious when his mouth is just open, showing all those big teeth but not once did he actually close his mouth around the puppy even though he was playing!! He's so gentle!! And beautiful!! I know they have such a bad rep, but I believe that the owners play a massive part in how they turn out!! "
