A tiny puppy decided to take on a giant Pitbull ten times his size. See how that worked out for the little guy in the video below.

Have you heard the expression, "It's not the size of the dog in the fight that matters most, but the size of the fight in the dog?" Well, the (little) star of this cute dog video definitely has.

Little Tough Guy vs Gentle Giant

He didn't back down when the tiny pup saw his huge Pitbull brother blocking his way into the house. Instead, he stared at the Pitbull, took a few deep breaths, and said, "I can take this guy down. Easy. He only looks big!"

Then he showed his much bigger opponent what he was made of, launching a series of pounce attacks at the Pitbull. What a brave little puppy.

The Pitbull swats them away easily. He isn't putting much effort into his defence - mainly because he doesn't have to - but he clearly respects the little guy's game.

A short clip of the battle, posted on YouTube, cuts off before we see how this fight ends. So, let's just call it a draw.

Almost 4 million people have watched the clip. It generated thousands of likes and comments, with many people writing that this play fight is more proof that Pitties can be the sweetest dogs ever.

"This gentle giant knows it's a little pup he's playing with; he's so gentle. It's beautiful," posted one person.

"He's a softie for letting the pup go at him like that," wrote another. "His patience and care for the pup is so sweet."

Playing and learning

Playfighting is essential to a puppy's development. During playfighting, puppies learn how to communicate and act with other dogs.

Puppies learn when they're playing too rough or biting too hard by getting a vocal response from their littermates. This teaches them to control their biting and develop important social skills, including impulse control.
