It's probably not the first time this poor pup had to think outside the box to get past his feline sibling, and fortunately for us, his owner caught it all on video.
Mission Impossible
The dog appears to want to go upstairs, but a small fluffy cat is standing in his way, staring at him rather menacingly. The dog knows he won't get past the cat unscathed without a little creative thinking.
He first sits down on the step with his back to the landing while also keeping an eye on the cat. He waits for a few seconds and then walks backwards up the steps slyly.
The dog then sits next to the cat, taking a few nervous glances at it, hoping that the cat will believe that he has no plan to go further up the stairs. After a few seconds, he resumes his little game.
Courageous canine
Meanwhile, the cat continues to stare at him.
The dog then decides to take his chance and run for it. But while he does get past the cat, he does get swatted a few times by the cat for his trouble.
