When Tala was first brought home, she spent the first 20 minutes shaking in the living room. But her family made her a promise, which they shared in this heartwarming video.
Trembling in fear
Posted on TikTok, the video shows Golden Retriever Tala, sitting between her new parents looking confused and afraid.
She has just been separated from her mother and her sisters, and for the first time ever she finds herself all alone.
13.1 million people were moved by the video, with many viewers expressing sadness they couldn't pick her up to give her a cuddle.
Janica, her human mum, shared her own thoughts in the caption: "She was so scared and shaking. We felt so bad, and we hope you know you will be so loved".
Settling in
Viewers were quick to reassure the caring new pet parent, with messages of support and encouragement.
"My dog was like that. It just takes time to settle in", explained one, with another sharing, "I cried with guilt when I got my puppy back in September. It takes a few days to settle".
Since the video was posted, Janica has gone on to share updates on Tala's adjustment to life with her family. Thankfully, the beloved pup is making great progress in her new home!
