When the Australian Cattle Dog was taken to the vet, he appeared to have a painful stomach, frequently urinated, and had blood in his urine.
The dog had already been examined by a different vet, who had prescribed it antibiotics, but this had made no difference.
Painful stomach
The owner decided to take the dog to another vet for a second opinion, hoping they could determine what was wrong with their pet. After examining the dog, the vet decided to do an X-ray to see if they could see what was going on.
X-ray reveals all
To everyone's amazement, the X-ray revealed that the dog had numerous stones in his bladder! The previous vet had not noticed this when they examined the dog.
Fortunately, now that the new vet understood the cause of the dog's problem, they knew what to do. The dog was scheduled for immediate surgery, during which the vet removed 100 stones from its bladder.
With all the stones removed from his bladder, the dog can now enjoy life to the full once again.
