Upon reviewing their CCTV footage, rescuers spotted a black car parking in the shelter's car park. A man let the puppy out, before getting back into his car and driving away.

In a heartbreaking scene that shocked the team, the disoriented puppy watched his owner leave. He was completely unaware that the first human he trusted would never return.

Freezing cold

Rescuers quickly came to his aid, arriving just in time to save him from an unthinkable fate.

Thankfully, the adorable puppy didn't spend long in rescue. He was adopted by a loving family, who named him Jack.

The pup is adjusting to his new environment, alongside his new furry brother Raylan.

In total, Jack's new family has 5 dogs, so he will have plenty of company as he learns all about life in a home.

The shelter has now filed a complaint against the person who abandoned the puppy. They will do everything they can to seek justice after such a cruel act of abandonment.
