Every friendship has its limits. And, in the case of these two kitty buddies, it's food. See what happened when one of them broke the golden rule!

Luna and Xeno are cat sisters, best friends, and loving companions. They spend all day, every day together. They snuggle together, play together, and join forces to chase any squirrel or pigeon who dares enter their patch, i.e. the back garden.

But there's one thing they will never [EVER] do - share food. It's just one of the unwritten rules of their friendship. If one of them breaks that rule, there will be consequences. And that's a lesson that little Xeno learned the hard way.

Luna doesn't share food

Xeno got busted eating Luna's dinner. The greedy cat gobbled up her sister's entire bowl when she wasn't looking.

Luna was less than pleased. She knew that an example needed to be set. Stealing food can't go unpunished. Yes, these cats are domesticated. But a civilised conversation wouldn't resolve this matter.

Luna bided her time, waiting for the right moment. It finally came during a play session in the kitchen.

Xeno climbed into an empty cardboard box her owner had left on the floor, and Luna saw this as the perfect opportunity to put her food-stealing sister in kitty jail.

She jumped on the box, pressed the lid down with her paws, and refused to let the food thief out. The message was clear: "This is what happens to anyone who eats MY dinner. Now stay in the box and think about what you've done."

A repeat offender

Kitty and Luna's mum posted the clip on TikTok. She wrote, "Throwback to when Luna punished Xeno for eating all her food. She's gotta stand up for herself."

The punishment might look harsh, but the pair's mum confirmed this wasn't Xeno's first offence. Plus, Xeno hasn't stolen any food since. So it seems like she's learnt her lesson.
