This Abyssinian cat loved his stay at granny's house.

This owner might think twice about her pet sitter choice in future... As reported by Newsweek, Lina decided to leave her cat with her mother whilst away on a month-long business trip.

An artist by profession, Lina entrusted Simbad, her Abyssinian cat, to her mum who lives in Prague. To help her cat adjust to the change, the young woman arrived a fortnight before her departure. This gave Simbad time to get used to his new home.

She knew her feline would be in good hands as her mother adores animals. And as she would discover, her mum took very good care of her cat – perhaps a bit too good.

In the space of a month, Lina discovered that her tom had made the most of the "canteen": "*I couldn't believe my hyperactive cat could have gained so much weight*", she said.

The artist learnt that during her absence, her tom had enjoyed "*two tins of wet food, with dry food available throughout the day*". A diet far from his usual habits.

At the start of his "holiday at granny's", Simbad weighed 12.1 pounds. Upon his return, the tom weighed approximately 14.7 pounds.
