Rescue workers wrote a brutally honest (but very hilarious) bio to help a giant Bullmastiff named Billy Bob find his perfect people.

Weighing in at nearly eight stone, Billy Bob is the walking definition of a big dog. And this Mastiff rescue pooch  is what you might call 'a little bit quirky.' In other words, Billy Bob is an oddball.

There's no point trying to hide Billy Bob's unique ways of dealing with the world. In fact, they're exactly what makes this giant goofball so special and lovable.

Billy Bob being Billy Bob

So when it came to writing Billy Bob's rescue bio, staff at the Burke County Animal shelter decided that 100% unfiltered honesty was the best policy!

"Billy Bob: tongue hangs out way too much, terrible car rider, entirely too food motivated and will accidentally mistake your arm for a cheeseburger, also smells a little," admitted the hilarious adoption post. "[But]he loves every person he has ever met. Someone adopt this hot mess! We promise you won't regret it!"

The post features several pictures of adorable Billy Bob, including one of his giant head leaning out of a car window. This is a dog who knows exactly who he is and has no intention of pretending he's anything different.

Good for you, Billy Bob. Just keep being you!

The 'hot mess' finds a home!

The unusual charm offensive hit all the right notes with dog lovers. The post picked up hundreds of likes, reshares, and comments, which included plenty of offers to give this slobbery mess a permanent home.

"I WOULD ADOPT THIS SWEET BABY IN A HEARTBEAT....." posted one person.

"I love this big guy," posted another. "He's going to make an amazing addition to the family for some lucky humans. If I didn't live so far away, I'd take him right now."

Billy Bob is currently on a trial period with some potential pooch parents. Let's keep everything crossed for Billy Bob and hope this trial home becomes his forever home.
