Months after his passing, Paul O'Grady fans still miss the beloved TV star, and pine over his emotional words on the very last episode of For the Love of Dogs.

British comedian, actor, and television presenter Paul O'Grady was famously known for presenting  "For the Love of Dogs", a documentary series that follows the work of Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in London. Paul O'Grady presented the show for 11 years, until he tragically passed away in March 2023 at the age of 67.

Since then, it seems as though fans have never been able to move on from the presenter who they believed to be the best for the job. If you're missing Paul O'Grady and would like to rewatch some of his final shows, read on.

The latest series of For the Love of Dogs presented by Paul O'Grady is Series 11. There were 8 episodes in the series, the final episode airing posthumously on the 28th of September 2023.

In Series 11, Episode 8 of "Paul O'Grady: For the Love of Dogs," Paul O'Grady meets a lively Beagle named Digger who struggles with separation anxiety. The episode showcases Paul's efforts to help Digger overcome his fears and find a loving home. Additionally, Paul introduces viewers to a Cocker Spaniel called Florence who has health issues and requires a lot of care and attention.

But the most bittersweet and poignant part of the episode that stayed with viewers the most was in the very beginning, when Paul said:

"Life is full of unknown twists and turns. So it's always best to expect the unexpected."

Of course, Paul didn't know at the time that he was filming his very last episode - which makes the quote even more heart-wrenching.

After the episode came out, hundreds of viewers took to social media to share their thoughts. One viewer wrote:

"I've watched every episode of Paul O'Grady's For the Love of Dogs over the past 11 years, and I'm sad tonight was the very last edition. What a legacy Paul left."
