Heroes come in all different shapes and sizes. In this instance, our hero has four legs, a tail, and a very cute face!
Like all real superheroes, the dog's name remains unknown. But we do know who his human is. He is Willian Mollo Flores. And Willian was there to witness his pup's heroic feats.
Dog takes man for walk
While passing a construction site on an evening walk near his home town in Chile, Flores felt his dog tug on the lead. Flores thought the dog was just being a little cheeky!
But he wouldn't stop. The dog clearly wanted this walk to go in a different direction. Then he started barking loudly, like he was trying to tell his dad something super important.
Flores decided to follow his dog's lead. And thank god he did. Once he was off the leash, the hero dog took Flores toward two abandoned puppies on the other side of the construction site.
One was crying out for help, while the other had fallen down a large hole dug out for the building's foundations.
Flores knew it would take too long for the police or animal rescue services to respond. So he took matters into his own hands. He ran home and returned to the site with food, water, and some rope to pull the puppy out of the hole.
Flores lifted the stranded pup to safety and stayed with the dogs for hours until animal rescue worker Valeska Torres Tapia arrived. She took the pups home with plans to hand them into the shelter the next day.

But that never happened. Instead, Valeska realised that the dogs, who she named Angel and Salvador, had already found a forever home!
"I knew it would be difficult for Angel and Salvador to find a family since they were inseparable," said Valeska. "So I kept them, and I will give them more love than they ever could imagine."
The moral of the story? When a dog barks, humans must listen. Because who knows what our furry friends are trying to tell us?
