A postal worker came across a rather unusual "priority" package during her delivery rounds that needed very special handling.

Postal workers are used to handling packages of all different shapes and sizes. But few have had to deliver one with two ears, four legs and a tail.

As usual, the postal worker was out on her rounds, delivering letters and parcels, when she spotted something in the middle of a gravel road. As she got closer, she saw that it was a little puppy all on his own.

It was extremely hot, and the dog had no one in sight, nor did he have any food and water. The postal worker knew that she had to help the puppy or he might not survive. So she picked him up and put him in one of the priority boxes next to her in her van.

The woman carried on with her delivery rounds, with the little pup helping her. Once she finished work, she took the little dog, whom she'd named Priority after the box he'd been riding in, to the vet to get checked out.

The vet staff examined the puppy and found that he was extremely dehydrated. If the postal worker hadn't found him when she did, he might not have survived.

When Priority was well enough, an animal shelter took him into their care to help him find a new home.

Since he was rescued, Priority has blossomed into a confident and friendly pup. With his big personality and big ears, it didn't take long before the adorable puppy caught the attention of dog lovers. It only took three days for the first adoption application for Priority to arrive. Hopefully, he won't have to wait too long before he becomes a loving family's priority.
