Friendly and good with dogs, rescue staff felt certain Tempy would find a loving home. But as a black, senior Greyhound, she seems to have become invisible.

When Tempy was first spotted behind bars at the public shelter in Botosani, Romania, she immediately became a favourite with rescue volunteers.

The team raised funds to bring her to a foster home in the UK, but many months later, she is still waiting to find her family.

The sweetest girl

"Tempy is a faithful companion who likes to be around her human whenever she’s able, but will also settle when left. She mixes well with other dogs but could also be the only dog in the home. She even surprised us all recently when she passed her cat test", explains Safe Rescue UK.

But sadly for this sweet girl "being an older, black, greyhound type will mean very little attention in the adoption world".

Despite her size, Tempy is convinced that she's a lap dog! @Safe Rescue UK

Tempy's perfect home

On arrival in her foster home, Tempy was quite boisterous around other dogs and people. But with time and patience, she has settled in perfectly.

She is nervous around children, so she does need an adult only home. In the right environment, the team feel certain she will make the most wonderful, devoted companion.
