Jack Russell rescued from rabbit hutch: now she needs a home for Christmas

Tinks had a difficult start in life, found in a rabbit hutch as a tiny puppy. Heartbreakingly, at 13-years-old, she finds herself in need of a loving new home.

Tinks was much-loved by her human family, who saved her as a puppy from unthinkable cruelty.

Then, earlier this year, one of her owners sadly passed away- and with their partner unable to care for her- the 13-year-old Jack Russell was taken in to rescue.

Young at heart

Tinks may be a senior girl, but she doesn't let this stop her.

"She is an energetic girl who loves her walks and is always ready for an adventure" explains staff at Last Chance Rescue in Kent. "She walks very nicely on the lead and gets so excited to go on her walks she will start jumping up at her kennel door. Tinks is a young girl at heart and still acts very puppy like and loves to play and chase a ball."

The best home for this golden oldie

After all she's been through, the team are hoping to find her the perfect home in time for Christmas.

She loves company, happily snuggling up for a cuddle on the sofa. While she's tolerant of other dogs on walks, she would definitely be happiest as an only dog - with all the attention and fuss she could ask for.
