An unwell stray puppy discovered in 2013 had its misfortune reversed by the well-meaning Nova Scotian man who found it. Read on to discover the story of Mojo.

Joey Wagner, an animal activist, discovered the Pitbull puppy in a sorry state. The animal was malnourished and dehydrated, and a severe case of mange had ravaged its fur.

Undeterred, Wagner took the puppy to a nearby vet. Despite its many ailments and despite being a stray, the dog was treated with utmost care and attention.

Long course of treatment

Its treatments were long and hard, and recovery, at times, seemed impossible.

After a matter of months, the puppy began to show signs of recovery, and Wagner was called upon to see the results of the extensive care given to the dog by the vet.

Happy reunion

The dog’s saviour had already made up his mind about adoption, but he was concerned that the dog would not recognise him after so long apart. How wrong he was! Mojo leapt into Wagner’s arms, seemingly so grateful for being given another chance at life.

Mojo and Wagner now live happily and content, and the sorry episode has been put behind them.
