When Tracey Daniels woke in the middle of the night to find her Pitbull snarling at her, she had no idea what to think.
She’d had her rescue dog, Ember, for a year after rescuing her from a shelter. The pup had always been a wonderful pet so this behaviour was very out of character.
Worrying behaviour
Tracey patted the bed, hoping her pup would calm down but the dog refused and continued to growl.
Eventually, Tracey got a little worried. She got out of bed and loving Ember led her down the corridor to the bathroom.
What she saw made her blood run cold. Her young son had fainted and was lying face down in the bath.
A heroic pup
Tracey immediately called for an ambulance and her son was treated by paramedics. Thanks to the quick thinking actions of her pup, her son recovered well.
Since the event, Ember has not left the boy’s side and sleeps in his room, sits with him while he studies and plays very carefully with him.
We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again, we don’t deserve dogs!
