Loveable Pitbull Benny was rescued and brought to Carson Animal Shelter when he was just eight months old.
In need of a loving forever home
As with many rescues, little Benny didn’t have the best start in life. Because of his “dangerous breed” status, shelter workers were worried he’d never find a home.
While shelter workers did all that they could to make his life in the shelter lovely, there’s simply no comparison with a real family, endless fuss and a comfy home.
After five years in the shelter, Carson Animal Shelter staff posted Benny’s plight to Facebook once more and were inundated with responses, one from a family who wanted to adopt the pup.
His adoption day was captured on camera and while the pup initially seems a little nervous, when he realises that he’s walking to freedom, he could not be more overjoyed!
Jumping for joy
After his initial apprehension, his little tail began to wag repeatedly, and as he left the shelter with his new family, he literally jumped for joy!
The adorable video has been a hit on Facebook and has currently been viewed over 3 million times. The comments are awash with well wishes for little Benny and his new family.
