A new beginning
The pooch has been officially adopted and is walking through the shelter gates to join his new family. He is so happy and excited to be leaving that he spins around to look at his new owner. It's as if he wants to get a good look to make sure he's REALLY been adopted!
We then see his new owner do a little spin himself to untangle the lead. As one user suggested, this shows just how experienced Jersey Mike's adopter is. After all, every dog owner knows that nifty trick for untangling a lead that's wrapped itself around their dog on a walk!
A bittersweet feeling
Joanna played a key role in Jersey Mike's adoption, as she had been looking after the pooch as his foster mum. In the video's caption, she wrote: "I'm just happy he's happy to be going home. I'll love you forever, Mikey". Seeing him get adopted was a bittersweet moment, a mix of happiness for him and sadness at seeing him go.
