It was a mother dog and her two puppies, who had been left to fend for themselves.
They were eating some food that a kind neighbour had left for them.
She leaves a note
The neighbour wasn't home, but the dogs were hiding under her porch. Aud left a note with her name and number, just in case the dogs belonged to the woman, so she could return them. Then, she helped the little family into her car.
All three dogs were incredibly affectionate. An hour and a half later, they arrived at her house and immediately snuggled up on the sofa for a long, well-deserved nap.
A much-needed check-up
Aud took the dogs to the vet to get them all checked over. The poor things had clearly been on their own for a while, as they were filthy. Afterwards, she brought them home to look after them while she searched for a loving forever home for each of them.
The video was watched by over 5 million people on TikTok. Many viewers expressed their disbelief at such an act of cruelty: "A one-year-old dog is still a puppy! Why would someone breed her and then just abandon her and her babies?"
Others pleaded with Aud to keep the mother dog herself: "I don't know if you can keep them, but I promise you that mum will be loyal to you forever. She'll know you saved her and her babies." We applaud Aud's kindness and wish this adorable family all the best for the future!
