Temperatures were below freezing that day.
And yet, right outside the shelter's door, there was an abandoned cardboard box.
A heartbreaking discovery
On the box was a note that brought the rescuers to tears. It read: "I have no choice. It's either eviction or giving up my dog. I've filled out adoption forms, but nothing has come of it. Today was my last day, and my back is against the wall. She is vaccinated. She is a good dog. Her name is Tangi."
Opening the box, the rescuers found a trembling puppy with a black nose and pointy ears. The little 9-month-old female was terrified. She had no idea what was happening and was frightened by these strangers.
A happy new beginning
The rescuers didn't know how long Tangi had been in the box, but thankfully, she was neither ill nor injured. Although the little dog was very scared, she craved human contact. She snuggled up to her rescuers. Whenever they moved slightly away from her, she would start to whine. She needed someone to stay close by while she recovered from her terrible ordeal.
Fortunately, over the next few days, little Tangi began to relax. So much so that on 14th December, the shelter shared the best news of all: the little dog had been adopted by her new forever family! The rescuers are overjoyed and wish Tangi all the best in her new adventures.
