A $600 vet bill for a 'dying' dog: the diagnosis left the owner speechless

It's a fear many owners share: seeing their dog suddenly fall ill. After paying a $600 vet bill, one owner discovered the real reason her pet was unwell.

When her owner found Molly looking very unwell, she immediately feared the worst. The change in her Yorkshire Terrier's behaviour was a great cause for concern, especially as the little dog hadn't eaten for two days.

A rush to the emergency vet

In a panic, Molly's owner rushed her to the emergency vet. After a series of stressful tests and an agonising wait, the diagnosis was finally revealed, along with a bill for $600 (around £470).

A hefty bill for a surprising diagnosis

Fortunately, Molly was neither dying nor seriously ill. The vet clinic informed her owner that the little dog simply didn't like her food. It seems she had just "gone off her chicken".

So, while the little Yorkshire Terrier is now perfectly fine, her owner's bank account is feeling a little worse for wear.
