When she discovered a dog named Maple at the shelter on 14th August, Robin didn't hesitate for a second to help her.
The brave three-year-old dog was pregnant when they took her in.
A foster home
Robin decided to welcome her into her home. At first, Maple was afraid of everything. She was terrified of leads and would soil herself when anyone tried to get her into a car. The poor dog would start trembling and howling.
The fear Maple felt in those early days was simply heartbreaking to witness, and the staff at Pawsitively Posh did everything they could to comfort her. Just ten days after her rescue, Maple had a huge surprise in store...
A very precious gift
In the early hours of 24th August, she gave birth to nine healthy puppies, eight females and one male. Maple is doing wonderfully after giving birth. She's a fantastic mum and all the puppies are in good health.
After welcoming her litter, the rescue shared a video on Instagram showing Maple smiling and wagging her tail in front of her basket housing her nine babies. The dog's happiness is lovely to see, as users noted in the comments: "Oh, she looks so happy." And: "Maple has beautiful babies!" We couldn't agree more!
