And he has a very unusual hobby!
A sea-loving dog
Fin's owner runs a whale-watching tour company in San Diego, USA, called Gone Whale Watching San Diego. As a result, the dog loves spending time at sea with him, watching the marine mammals.
It's fair to say his owner regularly takes him out on the boat to admire the whales. In the video below, you can see Fin's sheer excitement and delight as a humpback whale approaches their boat.
A fearless friend
In fact, it's the whale that approaches the boat, as if to say hello to the dog it seems to recognise like an old friend.
Faced with the ocean giant, Fin shows no fear at all. He even leans further over the side to get a better look. It looks as though he'd jump in and swim with them if he could! On this particular day, two young humpback whales stayed by the boat for over 90 minutes. What a lucky dog!
