Bowie is an adorable Golden Retriever who loves his owners more than anything, and thankfully, the feeling is completely mutual!
In fact, his owners are so besotted with him that he has his own dedicated account on the social media platform TikTok, where he has amassed just over 33,000 followers.
The charming dog's owners regularly share snippets of Bowie's life with their followers, who can't get enough of his various adventures and comical reactions. As the summer season was in full swing, the Golden Retriever's owners had to face leaving for a holiday without him, and they decided to film the heartbreaking moment.
A very unhappy dog
As his owners were gradually packing the car to set off for a well-deserved two-week holiday in Italy, Bowie clearly had to stay at home, looked after by one of the owner's fathers. So, while the pooch was far from being left with a stranger, he was showing anything but enthusiasm and made it perfectly clear to his humans that they were about to do something outrageous.
With a heavy tread, a worried look, and his head held low, Bowie seemed very uncomfortable with their departure. His owners quickly felt a wave of guilt wash over them, so much so that they began to regret booking their trip.
A familiar feeling for pet owners
Being rational, however, they didn't cancel their holiday. They knew full well that their dog would be in good hands and that his anxiety would soon pass.
After all, every pet owner knows the feeling. From dogs trying to sneak into the car to cats hiding in suitcases in the hope of being taken along, they all have their ways of letting us know they don't want to be left behind. But while goodbyes can be painful, they also make the joy of being reunited even sweeter!
