Curled up on her old blue armchair, surrounded by broken furniture and rubble, the dog seemed to be waiting for the same people who left her behind.
Who would be capable of leaving their devoted companion and walking away?
A sofa as her only refuge
According to one of the Instagram accounts sharing the story, the sofa belonged to her owners.
The dog "has a chip from a Barcelona factory that went bankrupt years ago. Investigations are being carried out, but... Nothing. So, we need to find her a home", they posted on social media on the 19th of April.
From heartbreak to hope
"It breaks our hearts. We can't understand how someone could abandon her like this, as if she were just another piece of junk" wrote the rescue.
Although visibly affected by her abandonment, the Pit Bull is in good health. Calm and gentle, she seems grateful to everyone who has been caring for her.
And it seems the sweet pup's luck is about to change. She has now found a loving family who can't wait to take her home.
