In the footage shared by @momothesphynx, the massive dog calmly endures repeated swipes to the head from the hairless kitten, who clearly isn’t intimidated by its much larger companion.
Despite the relentless ‘attacks’, the Great Dane does an adorable flinch but refuses to back down, almost as if pretending nothing is happening.
Brave or mellow?
Some have speculated whether the dog is just being brave or simply too mellow to react.
In the video’s caption, the user jokes: “Are the kittens used to dogs? Yeah, I’d say they’re more than fine.” It’s clear the Sphynx has no fear of the 160-lb pooch. However, viewers couldn’t help but notice the cat’s lack of accuracy, with one commenter quipping: “Not a single slap connecting, and he’s still flinching.”
Four-legged friendship
Despite the playful ‘bullying’, the Great Dane and Sphynx are often seen cuddling, proving the antics are all in good fun. Perhaps the Great Dane knows the cat’s swipes are more about flexing than fighting.
Either way, it’s a heartwarming display of animal friendship.
