English Bulldog Betsy joined her family when she was 5-months-old, and from that day forward, it was clear who ruled the roost.
"She was actually my niece's dog but she couldn't cope with her so we took her and that's where the fun began", her owner Charlton told Newsweek.
Betsy quickly became Charlton's baby, sticking close to her family at all times.
The sweetest rivalry
"Her favourite thing to do is lie on the sofa like she pays rent. She is so gentle", he explained. But as much as she loves being the centre of attention, Betsy has to share her family's affection with a furry feline rival.
Gizmo the cat has made it very clear she should never be messed with - even when Betsy is desperate to cuddle up on the sofa.
Desperate for help
"Betsy's spot is next to wherever we are sitting. So she will either do the paw flick to ask us to move her. Or she sits and barks at her in the hope Gizmo will jump down and she can have her spot", Charlton says.
The devoted owner managed to capture the adorable moment on camera, sharing the clip to TikTok.
The video, which has now been viewed over 600,000 times, shows the Bulldog gently pawing at her owner in a desperate attempt to move Gizmo out of the way.
"That cat is 100% only there to annoy the dog", joked a viewer.
"She really is", replied Betsy's family.
