Who among us hasn't been stuck in traffic on a busy road or motorway?
Sometimes, a glance sideways can lead to some rather surprising scenes. And that's exactly what happened to this driver, when he realised what the person in the car next to him was transporting.
A dog in a difficult position
Was the driver really transporting a dog crate attached to the bike rack at the back of his car?
Looking even closer, he noticed a visibly frightened dog cowering inside. The poor pup was cold and terrified, trapped among the traffic.
Stressful and dangerous
While it may not be illegal, this method of transportation clearly proved very stressful for the dog.
And in the event of an accident, the plastic crate would offer no protection to the dog. He would be exposed to all the elements, risking serious injury if the car were to be involved in a collision.
As a member of the family, dogs are always happiest inside the car. If travelling in the UK, your dog will need to be safely retrained, to ensure they can't distract the driver.
