Queen Camilla recently bid farewell to her beloved Jack Russell Terrier, Beth, who passed away due to an untreatable tumour.

Adopted from Battersea Dogs and Cats Home in 2011, Beth had been a cherished member of the royal family.

Alongside her companion Bluebell, Beth frequently appeared at royal events and even featured on Queen Camilla’s coronation gown.

With the King and Queen's longstanding commitment to animal welfare, this wouldn’t be surprising. Both are patrons of Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, and are dedicated to supporting rescue animals.

A legacy of love for animals

This enduring passion for animal rescue may inspire their next adoption, honouring Beth’s memory by giving another dog a loving home.

Though the royal family is grieving, it seems they are doing their best to ensure Beth’s legacy will continue. We hope to see a sweet rescue puppy in their midst very soon!
