A very special puppy born with six legs is helping a bullied teenager overcome his social anxiety.

15-year-old Luke Salmon has psoriasis, a condition that leaves the skin covered in red, flaky patches. Luke was subjected to years of bullying, leaving him with severe anxiety and self-esteem issues.
Luke finds a new best friend
Luke's mum, Lauren Salmon, became increasingly worried about her son. Knowing that he needed a friend who wouldn't judge him, she began her search.
And that's how she spotted Roo, an eight-week-old Labrador-cross born with two extra front legs! Roo was part of a recent litter, and the pups breeders were trying to find her the perfect forever home
Lauren and Luke went to meet the little star, who made an instant impression on her new best friend. Lauren said:
“It was love at first sight for Luke and for Roo...they never leave each other’s sides and she even sleeps in his bed.”

And while Roo might look a little bit different from other dogs, those unique features never get in the way of her living the kind of life every pooch deserves:
"She’s is just a normal dog to us," said Lauren. “Her special legs don't cause her any pain, and it's easy to see just how full of life she is.”
Lauren thinks Roo will help build-up her son's confidence and help him overcome his recent health issues:
“Luke feels like the odd one out because of his condition, and now he's got a best friend to match,” the teen’s mom said. “I think Roo will reduce Luke’s stress, and that should help his skin.”
Lauren recently contacted Dr Noel Fitzpatrick, the star of the Channel 4 show 'Supervet.' She wants to see if the puppy specialist can help improve Roo's mobility.
Come on, Dr Noel! What are you waiting for? If anyone deserves some help, it's this little super pup!
