There are lots of apps out there that will offer to help you train your dog. But you need trustworthy reviews before you can decide which one is right for you!

Hundeo prides itself on being an accessible dog training app that can be used by anyone - from first-time dog owners to experienced owners and everything in between! But how can you know whether the app is right for you?

Elodie, one of our writers, recently got a Golden Retriever puppy. As a first-time dog owner, Elodie has a lot to learn about raising a dog - especially when it’s a mischievous raptor like Uma! So Elodie has kindly tested the Hundeo dog training app for you - and here’s what she has to say.

Hundeo is interactive and clear

In Elodie’s opinion, the best part of this app is how user-friendly it is.

“I was amazed by how detailed the explanations are. For a simple command like ‘sit’, you’re given three pages of step-by-step instructions to swipe through. You can tell they were written by experts who explain things that you would’ve never thought of yourself. And if you’re more of a visual learner, there are videos to accompany every command.”

The app also has a built-in clicker so you can train on the go, without having to worry about bringing all the different training tools with you. Elodie tested the clicker and can confirm - it sounds exactly like a real one!

Hundeo provides a customised training program

Elodie explains that when signing up on the app, she had to provide a lot of information on her puppy, including her breed and age. This is because Hundeo tailors the app to the person (and dog) who’s using it - and this was another important factor for Elodie.

“Right now, the app is suggesting easy commands for Uma, such as ‘sit’ and ‘stay’ because those are the basic commands that a puppy needs to learn. Once she’s learned the command, I get a ‘trophy’ on the app, and I’m able to move on to the next level, and teach her more complicated commands. I think this is useful for first-time dog owners because we don’t necessarily know where to start or whether we’re doing a good job training our pups. This is a great way to keep track of her progress. There are close to 100 commands in total though - I don’t think we’ll get through them all!”

You can use Hundeo anytime, anywhere

Elodie truly enjoyed Hundeo’s ease and convenience. As a busy mum of two, she’s got her hands full already and it can be difficult for her to find spare time to dedicate to Uma’s training. That’s why Hundeo was such a practical tool for her. She could do a quick training session with Uma while waiting for the kids to get out of school, or in between bath time and dinner.

With Hundeo, the training can start anywhere, at any time, as long as you have your smartphone with you.

Hundeo is a fun app with more than just training advice

Elodie was pleasantly surprised to find out that Hundeo wasn’t just about training. It’s also about the whole lifestyle of owning a dog!

“The games are fun. Sometimes when I’m on public transport and just waiting for the time to pass, I’ll get on the app and take a quiz like ‘guess the breed’. It’s fun and educational too! There are also recipes and advice articles about health and general care, but personally, I never look at those.”

All in all, Hundeo is deemed to be a great dog training app for the modern dog owner - offering not only a variety of information but also an intuitive and comprehensive platform on which to track your dog’s progress.
