Lost keys
Perhaps that’s why Luh Meira was keen to share her video to show that despite their aloof reputation, some cats are happy to help their humans.
Luh Meira was outside the front of her apartment complex with her young son, who was playing with her house keys. For whatever reason, the boy dropped the keys into a hole on a low wall.
The woman did everything she could to get the keys out of the narrow hole but to no avail. However, watching on was a black cat called Pantera, who also lived in the apartment complex. He watched with interest as the woman used a stick to try to hook out the keys.
Hero Pantera
Once he'd given the stick a good chew, Pantera then began putting his paw into the hole, and to the woman’s amazement, he started poking around in the hole, hoping to hook out the keys with his claws.
The helpful cat appeared successful at first but unfortunately lost grip on the keys, and they fell back into the hole. He was determined to keep trying, though. With the lady’s encouragement, he put his slender front leg back into the hole and had the keys again in his claw within seconds, but this time he wasn’t going to lose them. He grabbed the key chain with his teeth, and the grateful woman was able to grab them.
To thank him for his help, the lady bought Pantera a new toy and some tasty treats. But he was awarded something even more special, Meira said:
Here's the video of how Pantera saved the day:
